The ISETS Sustainability Institute—the trading name of the Australian Energy Transition Institute (AETI)—is an Australia-based international think tank with a new, network-driven model that draws on expertise from around the world. It brings together leading researchers and practitioners across disciplines to address key challenges in the broader landscape of the low-carbon energy transition.

The Institute conducts research and provides analytical and consulting services on energy and environmental issues. Its work supports the transition of fossil-fuel sectors, advances innovation and the adoption of clean and green energy technologies, addresses socio-economic challenges, and helps stakeholders adapt to a rapidly changing global landscape. It also promotes evidence-based policymaking, international cooperation, and capacity for long-term sustainable development.

The ISETS Institute is one of the founding institutional members of the International Society for Energy Transition Studies (ISETS) and serves as its operational agency.
